Truffles and Banfi Returning Beard House featured chef Jasper Mirabile, Jr., took the reins of his family’s beloved Kansas City restaurant in 1984. More than 25 years later, Mirabile is still turning out impeccable Italian cuisine, which he will serve alongside a selection of fine wines from Tuscany’s renowned Castello Banfi in Montalcino. Tuesday, January 12, 7:00 P.M. A Toast to Chanterelle Chanterelle, David and Karen Waltuck’s groundbreaking Tribeca restaurant, enjoyed an impressive 30-year run, during which it accrued countless accolades, including several JBF Awards. Though the Waltucks recently announced Chanterelle’s closing, along with Time Out NY we’ve invited them to celebrate the restaurant’s achievements at the Beard House with one last hurrah. Thursday, January 14, 7:00 P.M. Peller Estates Wine and Food In recent years, wines from Niagara’s vineyards have caught the attention of a growing number of oenophiles and critics. Sample the area’s offerings for yourself when chef Jason Parsons of the renowned Peller Estates creates this wine-focused menu of his award-winning, seasonal cuisine at the Beard House. Friday, January 15, 12:00 P.M. Italian Luncheon At New York City’s Il Punto, Beard House alum Michele Orsino passionately prepares Italian dishes that are rustic, spirited, and even surprising, but always delicious. Come help us welcome his return with a soulful menu that spans the boot. Saturday, January 16, 7:00 P.M. Big Steaks and Big Reds Described as “one of the best and most distinctive steakhouses in America” by John Mariani, Oak Steakhouse wows diners with Brett McKee’s sophisticated, Italian-accented chophouse cuisine.
