Here's what's happening at the Beard House this week:

Monday, April 28, 7:00 P.M.
Garden Spring Fling
Tucked away on a quaint cobblestone street lies Harvest, a storied Harvard Square restaurant famous for its locally sourced, progressive New England fare and succession of renowned Boston-area chefs at the helm. For this Beard House dinner, chefs Mary Dumont and Brian Mercury have crafted a spectacular feast that highlights the luscious flavors of spring.

Tuesday, April 29, 7:00 P.M.
Coastal Kitchen
Mid-Atlantic beachgoers revere the Delaware coast for its relaxed vibe, beautiful surf, and fresh seafood—perhaps the best of which can be found at Matt Haley’s empire of coastal-inspired kitchens, which dot the shoreline. For this Beard House dinner, he and fellow chef Doug Ruley will prepare a sumptuous spread of their signature fare.

Wednesday, April 30, 7:00 P.M.
Vegas Glitz
His stints with JBF Award winners Lidia Bastianich and Charlie Palmer under his belt, Brian Massie now brings an upscale sensibility to the popular restaurants of the Vegas-based Light Group. Help us welcome chef Massie at his Beard House debut, which will feature a menu that highlights all of his concepts and cool cocktails.

Thursday, May 1 to Monday, June 30, 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Greenhouse Gallery
A series of images by Seattle-based photographer Christopher Boffoli, Big Appetites features tiny, hand-painted figures photographed against real food environments. The colorful images are designed with top notes of surprise and humor, but also examine America’s dysfunctional relationship with food: our portion sizes, overreliance on factory farming, and gravitation toward food spectatorship.

Thursday, May 1, 7:00 P.M.
Explore Oregon
James Beard’s beloved childhood vacation spot, Cannon Beach, Oregon, is now home to a group of talented chefs who are passionate about the rich bounty of the Pacific Northwest. With flavors that represent the dynamic Oregon dining scene, this impressively curated menu will be paired with wines from the nearby Hawks View Cellars.

Friday, May 2, 6:00 P.M.
The 2014 JBF Book, Broadcast & Journalism Awards
At this year’s fête honoring achievements in a variety of media, which will be hosted by JBF Award winners Matt Lee and Ted Lee, guests will savor a spectacular dinner crafted by the duo and a group of their esteemed colleagues.

Friday, May 2, 7:00 P.M.
Cipriani: A Four-Generation Dynasty
The originator of the Bellini and the standard-bearer for luxe, Italian-chic dining, Cipriani has been a player on the international restaurant scene for more than 80 years. Today the venerable Venice institution boasts outposts all over the world. Sample the fabled hot spot’s signature cuisine when chef Tito Piazza touches down at the Beard House.
