Sunday, February 9, 12:00 noon

Friends of James Beard Benefit Dinner 

Known for her signature blend of Middle Eastern, Armenian, and Mediterranean cuisines, Zov Karamardian runs an empire of restaurants, bistros, and bakeries in Southern California. For this special Friends of James Beard Benefit, Karamardian has crafted a vibrant menu of her legendary fare and will present it along with cooking demonstrations with featured guest and television star Carla Hall. The event will be emceed by JBF Award winner Sherry Yard.

Valentine's Tea

Treat your valentine to a romantic afternoon tea prepared by an incredible group of chefs and pastry chefs. The top talents collaborating on this feast will tempt diners with a decadent selection of delicate savories and mouthwatering sweets.

New Orleans Mystique 

Let the good times roll during an elegant meal of reinvented Crescent City classics at the Beard House. Chef Daniel Causgrove, an alum of Cochon and La Petite Grocery, will be visiting us from the Grill Room at Windsor Court Hotel, one of the most renowned, historic dining rooms in New Orleans.

Please join us for a reading with JBF Award–winning chef Michael Anthony, author of The Gramercy Tavern Cookbook, which intertwines two decades of the iconic restaurant's lore with 125 seasonally-inspired recipes.

Three-Star New York 

Chosen as Esquire magazine's 2013 Restaurant of the Year and the recipient of a glowing three-star review from the New York Times, Betony is white-hot this season. For this Beard House dinner, chef Bryce Shuman, formerly of Eleven Madison Park, will present a distinctly modern menu of unadulterated flavors.
