Boston Birthday 
Christopher Coombs already has a lot to celebrate: he oversees Boston’s elegant and acclaimed Deuxave, and he was a 2011 Food & Wine People’s Best New Chef nominee. What’s more, his birthday is on this date, and he’s throwing his own Beard House party, complete with exquisite spring fare and birthday cake!

The Craft of Lehigh Valley 
With three bells from the Philadelphia Inquirerand two JBF Award winners among his mentors, Lee Chizmar is leading the culinary boom in Lehigh Valley. At this special Beard House dinner, the chef will pay tribute to this vibrant region with a menu of local ingredients and local craft beer pairings.

Bay Area Brasserie 
Sleek San Francisco hot spot Bluestem Brasserie offers exactly the type of simple yet forward-thinking neighborhood fare one dreams about. Named after the indigenous North American grass favored by cattle ranchers, the SoMa restaurant showcases chef and Farallon alum Francis Hogan’s modern, Americana-inspired cuisine.

Saturday, June 21, 7:00 P.M 
Southern Soul 
What comes after cooking at lauded restaurants like Spice Market and wd~50? If you’re Vivian Howard, you do an about-face, return to your roots, and open an acclaimed farm-to-table spot, earning a few JBF Award semifinalist nods along the way. (Howard also stars in A Chef’s Life, a 2014 Broadcast Award nominee.)
