Empellón Taqueria
Alex Stupak is serious about Mexican food: so much so that he left an acclaimed career in fine-dining pastry to open Empellón Taqueria, the first of his mini-masa empire in New York City. In his new cookbook, Tacos: Recipes and Provocations, Stupak (aided by lauded food writer Jordana Rothman) breaks down his passion piece by piece, guiding readers on a journey from tortillas to salsas, to proteins and beyond.
Tickets to events held at the James Beard House cover the cost of food and a unique dining experience. Dinners are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. All alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
