Temaki sushi, also known as the Japanese hand roll, is a delectable cone of rolled nori seaweed, wrapped around flavorful sushi rice, fresh sashimi, and vegetables. A fun departure from the traditional nigiri and maki sushi, the hand roll provides the perfect canvas for a do-it-yourself sushi experience.
Join JBF Greens for a one-hour, hands-on Hand Roll workshop guided by owner Maiko Kyogoku and executive chef Emily Yuen of Bessou, NYC. Meaning “home away from home” in Japanese, Bessou serves up modern Japanese comfort foods in the heart of Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood.
Registered attendees in NYC will have the opportunity to purchase hand roll kits directly from Bessou prior to the event, available for pick-up from the restaurant (5 Bleecker St., NYC). The first 36 meal kits to be reserved will each include one (1) bottle of J Vineyards Sparkling Cuvee 20 for a perfect pairing.
