It’s time to take a look this weekend’s other Taste America destination: Miami!
On Friday, September 20, Taste America All-Star, JBF Award winner, and Chopped host Ted Allen is joining some of Florida’s best chefs for a multicourse dinner at the Spanish Monastery, a treasured historical and architectural landmark. This very special evening will include a cocktail reception featuring libations from Khong River House, MC Kitchen, Pubbelly Restaurant Group, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, and Eating House.
On Saturday, join us at Sur La Table in Boca Raton’s Mizner Park for a day of free cooking demos, tastings, cookbook signings, and more. Ted Allen will start the day with a demonstration in Sur La Table’s demo kitchen, followed by a pastry demo with Top Chef Just Desserts winner Yigit Pura.
The James Beard Foundation is proud to donate a portion of Miami proceeds to World Central Kitchen, a charity that works with developing countries to find sustainable solutions, like solar-powered stoves, to food insecurity.

Don’t forget: Taste America is also landing in Chicago this weekend.
James Beard Foundation’s Taste America® would not be possible without the generous support of our title sponsor, Chase Sapphire Preferred® Visa Signature®. We would also like to thank our retail partner, Sur La Table, our media partner, Every Day with Rachel Ray, and national sponsors Breville, Delta Air Lines, The Gulf Oyster Industry Council, and Lurpak® butter.
