This team of chef-advocates from across the country will join forces to commemorate the Emancipation holiday of Juneteenth, crafting a menu celebrating chefs of color past and present.

In 1977, Paul Vincent and Merrill Bonarrigo founded Messina Hof Estate Winery as an experimental vineyard in the heart of Texas. Forty years later, they’ve expanded across the Lone Star State with outposts in Fredericksburg and Grapevine, garnered thousands of awards for their grapes, and made a mark on the wine industry. Their signature vineyard cuisine, which incorporates wine into each dish, is deserving of a rollicking, celebratory Beard House feast.

At Austin’s the Brewer’s Table, a combination brewery and culinary center, the goal is to foster community through the tools of beer and food. For this dinner, chef Zach Hunter and brewer Drew Durish are bringing that innovative philosophy to the Beard House, composing an intertwining menu where both food and beer take center stage.
