Here’s what’s coming up at the James Beard House and around the country:

Hudson Valley legends Tony and Leslie Balassone have earned national acclaim for their sophisticated, European-inspired fare for over two decades. Joined by culinary comrade Philip Canapini, they will showcase the region’s lush bounty at this special Beard House dinner.
Friday, March 18, 7:00 P.M.
An alum of Gramercy Tavern and Gotham Bar & Grill, chef Peter Armellino now helms the kitchen at Northern California’s splurge-worthy Plumed Horse. For one night only, the Iron Chef America winner will return to the Big Apple for an elegant evening of Michelin-starred food.
Saturday, March 19, 7:00 P.M.
At Fortina, Christian Petroni turns out dishes the New York Times called “robust and refined, redolent with smoke and charred in all the right places.” For our annual St. Joseph’s Feast dinner, Petroni will bring his “exuberant take on tradition” to the Beard House kitchen for a flavor-packed homage to the beloved holiday.
Sunday, March 20, 5:00 P.M.
Sunday Supper at Chelsea Market
Set in a historic factory, Manhattan’s Chelsea Market is now home to some of the city's finest epicurean shops and restaurants. For our eighth annual Friends of James Beard Benefit, we're bringing together a formidable group of chefs to prepare a convivial family-style feast, which will be served in the market’s main hall.
