Now that it's (finally!) strawberry season, we're faced with the fortunate conundrum of what to make with one of summer's sweetest gifts. We think the classic, all-American strawberry shortcake makes the most of this juicy, gem-toned fruit. As Victoria Jordan Rodriguez, our director of house operations and events, demonstrates in the video below, the secret to these cakes' perfectly tender texture is finely crumbled hard-boiled egg yolks, which enrich the dough without toughening it up.
