A New Turn in the South: Southern Flavors Reinvented for Your Kitchen
When Ottawa chef Hugh Acheson settled in Georgia and opened the critically acclaimed Five and Ten restaurant, he became deeply connected to his adopted home state. His 2012 James Beard Award-winning book, A New Turn in the South: Southern Flavors Reinvented for Your Kitchen, celebrates the flavors of Georgia's local bounty with inspiring and innovative twists for the modern home cook.
Tickets to events held at the James Beard House cover the cost of food and a unique dining experience. Dinners are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. All alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
