Join JBF Greens (foodies under 40) for an amazing night exploring the historic traditions and modern interpretations of Middle Eastern cuisine in Brooklyn. Greens will start with a tour of Sahadi’s, a James Beard America’s Classics Award winner and Brooklyn mainstay for over 65 years. Sahadi’s current owners, and children of founder Charlie Sahadi, Christine Whelan and Ron Sahadi will teach guests the history of this borough institution while letting us nibble some of their signature foods.
Following the tour, Greens will enjoy a dinner at Boutros, where chef Allen Dabagh, a Brooklyn native, will showcase his modern and globally influenced interpretation of his Syrian and Lebanese heritage. The dinner will be paired with wines by Domaine des Tourelles, the most renowned winery in Lebanon.
