Join JBF Greens for modern Indian cuisine at GupShup in Gramercy.
For Indian-born proprietor Jimmy Rizvi, the restaurant fulfills his lifelong dream of opening a Bombay-inspired concept—visually, GupShup pays homage to 1970’s Bombay mansions with a two-story wall of tiffins and vibrant life-sized murals. Rizvi is also the owner of Ammi, one of the featured vendors at Pier 57’s Market Hall with the James Beard Foundation.
For the occasion, head chef Zahir Khan will create a multi-course family-style feast that melds modern cooking techniques with traditional influences seen in Indian households.
*70% of your ticket price will go directly to the host chef to support their business while 30% will go towards the Foundation’s national programming that is rooted in advocacy, racial equity, sustainability, and women’s leadership for the culinary industry.
All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event(s) be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, The James Beard Foundation will offer options including ticket exchanges, use of tickets for future events, and option to donate tickets.
By making a ticket purchase, you will receive emails from the James Beard Foundation about events and updates about the programs you help make possible. You can unsubscribe at any time.
