Join JBF Greens for globally inspired cuisine at Hav & Mar in Chelsea.
Open since November 2022, Hav & Mar has garnered praise for its robust menu featuring thoughtfully sourced seafood and greenmarket produce. "Hav" meaning sea in Swedish, and "Mar" meaning honey in Amharic (the official language of Ethiopia) is a nod to chef/owner Marcus Samuelsson's Swedish and Ethiopian backgrounds.
At the helm is executive chef — and James Beard Award nominee — Fariyal Abdullahi. For the occasion, chef Fariyal will create a vibrant family-style feast inspired by her extensive world travels and her Ethiopian roots. Wines will be curated by Legacy Network Alum Jazmine Ladouceur of Noire Wine Lounge.
*70% of your ticket price will go directly to the host chef to support their business while 30% will go towards the Foundation’s national programming that is rooted in advocacy, racial equity, sustainability, and women’s leadership for the culinary industry.
All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event(s) be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, The James Beard Foundation will offer options including ticket exchanges, use of tickets for future events, and option to donate tickets.
