Celebrate our local restaurant community with the acclaimed husband-and-wife duo behind Kasama, a bakery and modern Filipino restaurant located in the East Ukranian Village neighborhood of Chicago.
Join JBF Greens Chicago and NYC for a virtual meet–and–greet with pastry chef/co-owner Genie Kwon and executive chef/co-owner Timothy Flores, who opened Kasama in July 2020 in the midst of the global pandemic. At Kasama, chef Genie showcases her inventive, decadent pastries, while chef Timothy serves up flavorful dishes inspired by the soulful Filipino foods of his childhood. Together, chef Genie and chef Timothy will demonstrate their modern take on halo-halo—a traditional Filipino shaved ice dessert which means “mix-mix” in Tagalog—to help beat the summer heat!
Each ticket includes access to the live virtual Zoom broadcast and a halo-halo recipe to create your own frozen treats at home after the event.
All reservations must be made in advance.
