Join James Beard Award Semifinalist Chefs Anna and Ni Nguyen and James Beard Nominee Kevin Tien

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we're highlighting Denver’s acclaimed restaurant Sắp Sửa, from Vietnamese American chef Ni Nguyen and his partner, Chef Anna Nguyen, alongside chef Long Nguyen and Best Chef Mid-Atlantic 2024 nominee, Chef Kevin Tien of Moon Rabbit. Recently recognized as 2025 James Beard Award semifinalist for Emerging Chef, the husband-and-wife team celebrate the voices and food of first-generation Vietnamese Americans––or the Việt Kiều experience––with innovative spins on traditional Vietnamese dishes like Trúng Và Trúng (brown butter soft scrambled egg, named as one of The New York Times’ Best Dishes of 2024. Their signature dish, bắp cải luộc (charred cabbage) reflects Chef Ni’s unique culinary perspective as a first-gen Vietnamese American and his deep connection to his childhood food memories in Orange County, CA. This celebratory evening will honor the rich food traditions of Vietnamese culture while empowering a wholly unique generation of AAPI chefs.

Event Policy

Reservation Policy:

All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Events at Platform by JBF are special one-night-only menus and we do not offer a la carte menus. If you have serious food allergies, we will work with the visiting chef team to do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee that alternate options will be available for every course.

Terms

Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
