Join JBF Greens for a modern take on traditional Ukrainian fare at Anelya in Avondale.
Open since Fall 2023, Anelya is a personal project for James Beard Award Winner® Johnny Clark who was chef/co-owner of acclaimed Parachute and Wherewithall with his wife Beverly Kim. Named for his late grandmother, Anelya began as a pop-up to provide humanitarian aid to the region with an opening team comprised of Ukrainian refugees.
As leaders in the community, chefs Johnny and Beverly are also the co-founders of The Abundance Setting, which aims to address gender inequity in the hospitality industry, and the creators of a movement called #doughsomething, in which over 100 restaurants nationwide came together to raise funds for Asian Americans Advancing Justice.
For the occasion, chef Johnny will prepare a 3-course menu that explores Ukrainian culinary traditions and modern preparations as inspired by his recent trip to the region.

All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event(s) be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, The James Beard Foundation will offer options including ticket exchanges, use of tickets for future events, and option to donate tickets.

*70% of your ticket price will go directly to the host chef to support their business while 30% will go towards the Foundation’s national programming that is rooted in advocacy, racial equity, sustainability, and women’s leadership for the culinary industry
