Join JBF Greens for South American flavors at Brasero in West Town.
Open since 2024, Brasero is the brainchild of chef John Manion, who is also behind El Che Steakhouse & Bar and formerly of Mas and La Sirena Clandestina. Hailing from Michigan, Manion moved to São Paulo when he was eight years old. Along with his family, Manion spent five years soaking in the tastes and the culture of Brazil.
From grilled oysters and coal-roasted sweet potato to grilled chicken “a la brasa” and whole grilled branzino, the grill is the centerpiece of Manion’s cooking and his restaurant’s name is a South American term for a grill’s fire box.
For this occasion, chef John will collaborate with chef de cuisine Adam Meyer, also of El Che and Brasero, to prepare a three-course menu that highlights their shared passion for live fire cooking.
